How to Avoid Digital Eye Strain
Avoiding digital eye strain is extremely important & in a world full of technology it is extremely difficult! Especially if you are using digital devices such as computers, cell phones, tablets, etc. Here are a few tips and tricks on how you can keep your eyes fresh longer while using your digital devices!
1. FOLLOW THE 20-20-20 RULE
When looking at a screen all day your eyes can become strained from over use, and blue light. Following the 20-20-20 rule can help relieve the stress on the eye. Every 20 Minutes, look 20 feet away, for 20 seconds. This can relieve the stress on the eyes and help your eyes feel fresh longer!
I know, I know blinking seems a little obvious but when you are looking at a digital device like computer or a phone, you tend to blink about 1/3 as often! This causes your eyes to dry out and get more irritated. By taking the time to blink more you will reduce your risk for dry eye.
3. Protect your eyes from harmful blue light
